Glaze
The Billy Smoker Glaze is a glass spark arrestor door developed specifically for Billy Smoker Open Fire Cookers, the first of its kind for this range. The glass keeps the fire in view while improving on a traditional spark arrestor in two ways: better containment of smoke and sparks through the firebox opening, and better heat retention to hold steady oven temperatures.
The detailing is built for modern interiors, a slim black border with an inline stainless steel handle that runs cooler than the door itself and opens easily. Where the Steele door gives a solid blackout, the Glaze keeps the flame on show. Suits all Open Fire Cookers and pairs particularly well with the Huge Series.

The Billy Smoker Open Fire Cookers range has been designed and engineered to meet the safe installation requirements stipulated in AS/NZS 2918 (Australian and New Zealand Standard for installation of solid fuel burning appliances). Defined as cooking appliances, the range complies with AS/NZS 4012 and AS/NZS 4013 (Australian and New Zealand Standards for emissions and efficiency). Meeting the Australian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) requirements for air quality, these products can be installed throughout all of Australia (including New South Wales).

Let the Glaze cool fully before cleaning. Wipe the glass with a damp cloth; for baked-on soot, use a cleaner made for fireplace or oven glass, or a little ash on a damp cloth, which lifts residue without scratching. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh scourers, which can mark the glass and the finish.
Wipe the black border and stainless steel handle with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Handle the door with care when hot, the stainless handle runs cooler than the rest, but use a heat glove when dropping the door in or lifting it out during a fire. Keep the unit dry when not in use.
