The Cylinder Funl Basin pairs Nood Co’s Funl top, a tapered, funnel-shaped round bowl, with a freestanding concrete cylinder pedestal, sold as a complete floor-standing unit, no vanity needed. It stands 878mm from the floor to the basin’s top edge, the Funl’s tapered profile sitting on a smooth cylindrical column.
It’s hand-cast in Australia, with the pigment running all the way through the concrete rather than sitting on top, so the colour is consistent through the whole piece. Because each basin is individually cast, no two are identical. The Cylinder range is modular: the top and pedestal are separate components, so you can match them in one colour or mix two, and an optional tray can be added. That makes it the basin in the range you can configure by colour rather than just choosing a single finish.

Fitting Instructions
Made to order, with an estimated 4-week lead time plus delivery. The Cylinder Funl is a freestanding, floor-standing pedestal basin: it stands directly on the floor, so the waste and water supply need to be roughed in to suit a floor-standing fixture before installation. A 32mm non-overflow waste is required (not supplied). Because it pairs with no vanity, plan the tapware as a wall-mounted spout or floor-mounted freestanding mixer set to the 878mm rim height. Installation should be carried out by a licensed plumber in line with local plumbing codes. Line drawings and spec sheets are available here.

Nood Co is an Australian designer and manufacturer of handmade concrete basins, based in Osborne Park, Western Australia. Each basin is hand-cast and pigmented chemical-free, so the colour runs through the whole piece, then finished with a penetrating sealer that doesn’t need re-sealing. More than 85% of the concrete composition and packaging is sourced within Australia.

Use, maintenance and care
Concrete needs a little more care than ceramic. Clean with mild soap, warm water and a microfibre cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners, scourers, sponges, or chemical products, which can damage the sealer and the surface.
Don’t leave standing water or coloured liquids (cosmetics, hair dye, toothpaste) pooled on the surface, wipe spills up promptly. Each basin ships with organic wax; an occasional re-wax keeps the sheen up, though it’s optional. The pedestal column is on show from every side, so wipe down the whole exterior, not just the bowl. If you’ve added the tray, wipe it dry too, standing water on the tray can mark over time. Refer to the Nood Co website for full details.
