The Millie Basin is a tall, round concrete basin with a pared-back cylindrical silhouette. Like the Betty, it stands as a full vessel rather than a shallow bowl, 395mm tall with a deep 30L basin, so it reads as a freestanding column on the vanity. Where the Betty is stepped and vintage, the Millie is smooth and quietly architectural.
It’s hand-cast in Australia, with the pigment running all the way through the concrete rather than sitting on top, so the colour is consistent through the whole piece. The Millie comes in two finishes: Signature Smooth or Raw Textured. It’s designed as a surface-mount basin, sitting on top of a vanity or bench, and comes in Nood Co’s full colour range. Because each basin is individually cast, no two are identical.

Fitting Instructions
Made to order, with an estimated 4-week lead time plus delivery. The Millie is a surface-mount basin and sits on top of a vanity or bench. At 27kg it’s the heaviest basin in the range, so check the vanity or bench is rated to carry the load. Because it stands 395mm tall, the tap needs to clear the basin’s rim, plan for a tall wall-mounted spout or tall freestanding mixer rather than a standard deck mixer. A 32mm or 40mm standard non-overflow waste is required (not supplied). Installation should be carried out by a licensed plumber in line with local plumbing codes. Nood Co is an Australian designer and manufacturer of handmade concrete basins, based in Osborne Park, Western Australia. Each basin is hand-cast and pigmented chemical-free, so the colour runs through the whole piece, then finished with a penetrating sealer that doesn’t need re-sealing. More than 85% of the concrete composition and packaging is sourced within Australia.

Use, maintenance and care
Concrete needs a little more care than ceramic. Clean with mild soap, warm water and a microfibre cloth, and avoid abrasive cleaners, scourers, sponges, or chemical products, which can damage the sealer and the surface.
Don’t leave standing water or coloured liquids (cosmetics, hair dye, toothpaste) pooled on the surface, wipe spills up promptly. Each basin ships with organic wax; an occasional re-wax keeps the sheen up, though it’s optional. The Raw Textured finish has a more open surface than the Signature Smooth, so wipe it dry after use to keep marks from settling. The tall outer wall is fully visible, so wipe it down along with the bowl. Refer to the Nood Co website for full details.
